Accounts Payable Specialist

Seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Specialist to champion vendor relationships, ensuring precise invoice processing and timely payments. This role delves into reconciling statements, streamlining payment processes, and maintaining up-to-date vendor accounts. A key contributor to the Accounts Payable Month End process, you'll also flex your versatility by providing backup across various departments.

Location: Headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota

Hours: 7am-5pm M-F (40 hour work week)

Pay: $24-29 hourly based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute weekly ACH and check runs with precision.
• Monthly reconciliation of vendor statements, securing refund checks when necessary.
• Efficient processing of non-po invoices and online payments.
• Vigilant maintenance of vendor accounts and facilitation of credit applications.
• Acquire and manage vendor W9s, overseeing 1099 federal tax reporting.
• Address accounting queries from operations and support annual external financial audits.
• Serve as a reliable backup for Accounts Receivable payment application.
• Proactively manage uncashed checks and navigate unclaimed property filings.
• Oversee payments for branch credit card accounts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting or a compelling two (2) years of hands-on experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat, showcasing excellent computer and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to sustain focus while working at a computer continuously.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
