This role plays a critical part in transformer production by assisting with assembly, material handling, and general production tasks while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.What You'll DoAs a Production Worker, you'll support a variety of production activities, including core stacking, element assembly, and final assembly. You'll assist higher-level team members, operate tools and equipment, and help ensure production schedules are met safely and efficiently.A Day in the LifeYour day may include assisting with assembly operations, setting up materials, supporting crane and rigging activities, and helping load or unload equipment such as ovens or vapor phase systems. You'll use hand and power tools, help install components, prepare materials, and contribute to overall workflow across multiple production areas.Specific DutiesAssist with loading/unloading ovens and vapor phase equipmentSupport crane setup, rigging, and pre-operation inspectionsAssist with core stacking and assembly activitiesHelp install transformer components and insulation materialsMix and apply epoxy as requiredSupport element assembly, including coil landing and lead installationCut cable, wrap insulation, and assist with lead preparationOperate hydraulic, hand, and power toolsAssist with parts kitting and basic inventory controlSupport tanking and final assembly operationsOperate man lifts and forklifts as requiredMaintain safe, clean, and organized work areasPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForA dependable team player with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredMinimum of 2 months of manufacturing or industrial experience (or equivalent training)Ability to pass background check, drug test, and physicalSkills & CompetenciesAbility to use basic hand and power toolsBasic understanding of manufacturing or electrical concepts preferredAbility to follow instructions and proceduresBasic math skillsAbility to lift/move materials up to 50 lbsAbility to work at heights and in confined spacesComfortable working in varying environmental conditionsStrong teamwork and communication skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learnKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Safety compliance and PPE usageQuality of production support workReliability and attendanceProductivity and support of production schedulesHousekeeping and organization standardsWhy Join Us?At Delta Star, you'll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team that values professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional service.
