Heavy Equipment Foreman Operator

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Sacred Ground Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Foreman Operator to lead excavation crews and operate heavy equipment on a variety of site development and excavation projects.

This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage crews, operate equipment safely and efficiently, and ensure projects are completed on schedule while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, bulldozers, and related machinery
• Lead and supervise excavation crews on residential and commercial job sites
• Coordinate daily job site activities and workflow
• Read and interpret project plans, grades, and site layouts
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
• Perform grading, trenching, excavation, and site preparation work
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs
• Enforce company safety procedures and OSHA compliance standards
• Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and crew members
• Train and mentor crew members as needed
• Assist with site inspections and quality control efforts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment required
• Minimum of 2 years of Heavy Equipment Foreman experience required
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, and site development operations
• Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy construction equipment
• Leadership experience managing crews and coordinating job site activities
• Ability to read blueprints, grades, and project plans preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
• Valid driver’s license preferred
