The software will be deployed to a wide range of industries utilizing an array of technologies (C++, C#, .NET, SQL, etc.). Integrate and build supporting frameworks and libraries for use with commercial vision sensor platforms. Must be able to work in the US without visa sponsorship.JOB DUTIESTechnical leader within the departmentMicrosoft WinForms based design and developmentMulti-threaded application and library development to support the implementation of 2D & 3D vision system solutions and applications in C#/.NETDevelop and build software libraries and utilities and integrate with the vision systemsSupport, design and develop libraries and interfaces for commercial off the shelf hardware system components (cameras, sensors, PLC’s, encoders etc.)Develop, build, and support library interfaces to common vision tools (MVTec Halcon, Matrox, Sick, Keyence, OpenCV, National Instruments, etc.)Support debugging and resolving issues with systems in development and currently deployedUnit testing and benchmarking software/hardwareAct as a subject matter expert in software development for other members of the teamImprove performance capabilities of overall software architectureLearn and utilize new technologies as is practical in support of the above responsibilitiesMaintain professional appearance/demeanor and a positive attitude in challenging situationsMust be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action given the situationMust be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressureEDUCATION & EXPERIENCETypically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.Demonstrated software system design and development leadershipAbility to debug complex software systems and develop applicationsAbility to work independently or as part of a team, and work with multiple projects simultaneouslyIndustrial automation knowledgeKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESWorks as a key member of cross functional teams and must display a can-do attitude that sets an example for others.Proficient use of CAD software and Microsoft Office suite software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong mechanical and math skills and ability to formulate ideas and create design solutions for internal and external customer needs.Field experience is a plus.Ability to resolve problems in a courteous and tactful mannerAbility to follow documented company proceduresMust be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to follow directions and complete assignments on time with minimal supervisionPHYSICAL DEMANDS:May require travel and specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customer’s location.20% travel - domestic & internationalCOMPANY INFORMATION:Motion offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.Not the right fit?
