Head of Finance [Remote]

Role Overview

We are hiring a high-impact Head of Finance to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO as we raise our institutional seed round and scale our AI analytics platform.

This is a mission-critical role for a finance leader who has successfully supported and closed seed rounds before, and brings warm relationships across top-tier Silicon Valley seed-stage venture firms, leading AI, Enterprise SaaS investors, and select strategic corporate venture partners.

The ideal candidate combines fundraising execution, investor-grade financial storytelling, and the ability to drive fundraising momentum from warm introductions through to a fast and efficient close.

What You'll Own

Fundraising Execution (Primary Focus)

• Lead the fundraising process alongside the CEO from first meeting through close
• Build and manage investor pipeline, outreach, and meeting cadence
• Own diligence preparation: financial model, data room, KPI narrative, and investor materials
• Support term sheet review and closing execution
• Maintain momentum and structure across the fundraising process

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Build and own the company's financial model and operating plan
• Define key metrics across revenue, pipeline, unit economics, and margins
• Support pricing strategy and long-term financial planning
• Model enterprise SaaS and AI-driven economics (including infrastructure costs)

Capital Efficiency & Runway Management

• Own cash flow forecasting, burn management, and runway planning
• Implement financial discipline across hiring and operational spend
• Build visibility into AI infrastructure costs and gross margin dynamics

Finance Systems & Reporting

• Establish reporting cadence and financial operating processes
• Own investor updates and board-level financial reporting
• Ensure financial readiness for institutional investors and future audits

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience

• Proven experience helping raise and close institutional seed rounds at a high-growth startup.

• Existing warm relationships with leading seed-stage investors in AI, Enterprise or infrastructure.

• Strong fundraising execution mindset - able to create velocity, not just build models.

• Advanced financial modeling, KPI communication, and diligence leadership skills.

• Deep understanding of AI business economics, including compute-driven cost structures.

Strong Preference For Candidates With

• MBA or equivalent from a top-tier instituition

• Prior Head of Finance, Strategic Finance, or CFO experience at a VC-backed startup.

• Background in venture capital, investment banking, or startup finance with institutional credibility.

• Experience progressing a company from Seed to Series A preparation.

• Track record of building finance processes from scratch.

• Seed round executed efficiently with strong institutional investor participation.

• Clean diligence process and investor-grade financial foundation established.

• AI infrastructure spend actively managed with improving margin visibility.

• Strong investor communication rhythm and Series A readiness in place.
