Job Summary
The California-based Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position is located in San Luis Obispo. This role involves assisting with a high volume of orthopedic surgeries, general, gynecological, pediatric, and eye cases, with limited cardiac cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Location: San Luis Obispo, California

• Shift Hours: 8-hour shifts with variable start times, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Two years of operating room experience, BLS Certification, CST certification, valid license to submit
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience is preferred
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours, with variable start times; on-call availability 24/7 for surgeon on-call hours, with a 30-minute response time; one weekend of call per month for RNs and CSTs; holiday work only in emergencies
• Float: No
• Additional Information: Candidates must be prepared to work with a high volume of orthopedic, general, gynecological, pediatric, and eye cases. Experience with cardiac cases is not required. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
