Responsibilities Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. Operate within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the "Clinical Practice Standards" established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). Work together with physicians to perform a variety of specialized CT procedures. Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures. Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, respecting the patient's ability and comfort. Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed. Provide radiation protection to the patient, technologist, and others in the area using PPE and other guidelines as needed. Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed. Assist other areas and shifts as needed. Education Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (encourage CT ARRT certification). Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health. CPR Certification. Experience Previous experience in CT preferred but not required, or previous experience in a similar role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
