Production Supervisor - Night Shift

Job Overview Plastipak Production Shift Supervisors are responsible for overall production operations across the site on the night shift. They ensure smooth and efficient performance within and across the production floor by providing supervision, guidance, and assistance to Production Technicians. Responsibilities Help ensure efficient bottle and container production and maintain product compliance with customer specifications. Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example, ensuring team members practice safe work habits. Coordinate work assignments and training, providing coaching and guidance to Technicians. Report on the effectiveness and performance of production activities to the production manager. Continually focus on shift performance (safety, quality, reliability, scrap progress) toward goals. Recommend and initiate improvements. Resolve machinery and quality problems in the production area by working with Maintenance as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; strong preference for post-secondary education. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience with solid people leadership abilities. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing production or maintenance experience. Excellent written and verbal communication. Previous experience using an ERP system (prefer SAP). Ability to utilize Excel to record information and compile reports. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools (wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.).
