This role involves working in a high-acuity environment, dealing with cases such as strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

• De-Escalation certification required
• BLS certification required from AHA
• ACLS certification required from AHA
• PALS certification required from AHA
• TNCC required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
