Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Modeler (ES1) - St. Louis, MO

The Dayton division has recently been named as one of only five prime awardees for the 10-year, $4.7 billion NOVASTAR contract supporting the NASIC, WPAFB, Ohio. The Dayton division is currently searching for a Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Modeler (ES1) to join our team in St. Louis, MO. On a daily basis, the candidate will provide engineering model support for scenario-based campaign planning using SysML 2.0 or a similar Design Innovation Environment (DIE) tool to create models of specific regional scenarios over various timeframes. The role requires collaboration with all-source analysts, other contractors, and NASIC Squadrons, documentation of the model creation process, and adherence to an agreed delivery timeline for the MBSE model. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a technical team and have effective oral and written communication skills. Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Most of the work supports the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community. This challenging position requires a diverse set of technical and task management skills and offers the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work. An active TS/SCI clearance is desired. Duties and Responsibilities Development of baseline threat models derived from flight internal foundational force employment intelligence. Add behavior model to physics-based model. MBSE production: 80% baseline analysis for scenarios, 20% tailored mission needs for wargaming. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field. 0-4 years of relevant experience in engineering, science, or mathematics. Strong Systems Engineering Foundation: understanding of MBSE and related principles. Familiarity with Cameo. Familiarity with AFSIM/NGTS/ArcGIS. SysML 2.0, or similar Design Innovation Environment (DIE) tool. Background knowledge or experience primarily in INDOPACOM, but also EUCOM and CENTCOM AORs. Strong written communication skills, good people skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists. Ability to collaborate with Customers and cross-functional teams, document technical processes, and present solutions to stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies. U.S. Citizenship is required per government contractual requirements. Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI eligibility. Preferred Qualifications Scenario-Based Modeling Expertise for campaign planning and execution. SysML 2.0 proficiency with practical experience. Familiarity with AI/ML models to process and analyze large datasets. Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience. ADA Notations Regular communication (hearing/speaking). Noise conditions range from very quiet to noisy. Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding). Frequently required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds. Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
