  • Step into counselor roles or other duties as needed
  • Coordinate shift coverage with supervisor when necessary
  • Health & Wellness Support
  • Provide basic first aid and respond to common camp health needs (e.g., dehydration, minor injuries)
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to prevent illness and injury

WORK EXPECTATIONS:

  • This is a seasonal position with full attendance expected
  • Limited schedule flexibility due to the nature of camp operations
  • Occasional support at non-camp YMCA events may be required
  • The YMCA’s four “core values” of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility will be exemplified at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age: 17 years old

  • Stand and remain alert for extended periods (2+ hours)
  • Lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • Move quickly and respond effectively in emergency situations
