Azure Data Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 Months
Experience Required
- 8-12+ years in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, or Azure Data Engineering
- Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure

Role Descriptions:
- Data Engineering & Development
- Design and develop end-to-end data ingestion| transformation| and loading (ETL/ELT) pipelines.
- Build and maintain enterprise data lakes and data warehouses on Azure.
- Develop data solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF)| Azure Databricks| and Snowflake.
- Create and optimize SQL-based data transformation processes.
- Support real-time and batch data processing requirements.
- Cloud & Architecture
- Design scalable cloud-native data architectures.
- Evaluate and enhance existing data platforms and technology stacks.
- Implement secure| high-availability| and disaster recovery compliant solutions.
- Support data modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Data Governance & Quality
- Ensure data quality| lineage| metadata management| and governance standards.
- Partner with Data Governance teams and tools such as Collibra.
- Implement security| compliance| and regulatory controls across data platforms. DevOps & Automation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub| Azure DevOps| or similar tools.
- Support DataOps and operational monitoring processes.
