About the Role

• The State of Indiana (INDOT) is seeking an IT Senior Project Manager to lead complex enterprise IT projects and digital transformation initiatives.
• This hybrid position involves overseeing multiple large-scale projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving successful project outcomes from June 2026 through December 2027.
• The role focuses on modernizing legacy systems, particularly leading end-to-end migration of on-premises Oracle Data Warehouse to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects to ensure proper management towards successful conclusion
• Manage large enterprise-type projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders or contracted resources
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project plans
• Define users and project team members' roles and responsibilities on the project
• Define user requirements, deliverables, and approvals
• Coordinate and monitor activities of all stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met
• Communicate project status to management and project stakeholders
• Mentor and provide guidance to intermediate level project managers including recommending training and experience
• Lead end-to-end migration of on-premises Oracle Data Warehouse to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Manage relationship management, project planning, resource management, tactical execution, and creation/oversight of final project deliverables

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in complex IT projects or portfolio coordination involving multiple stakeholders across multiple business areas and geographies
• 10+ years experience with Cloud migration, Google, Data Warehouse, Migration experience
• 10+ years ability to translate technology terms and explain concepts of SDLC to program/business stakeholders with little to no exposure to large software projects
• 10+ years ability to support Sr. project team staff to drive projects to success
• 10+ years strong organization, communication and presentation skills
• 10+ years experience in organizing highly complex and technical information
• 10+ years knowledge of multiple methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid
• 10+ years experience managing projects within Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation
• Experience in IT Project Management and IT digital transformation
• Ability to work with technical team members and other IT professionals to flesh out project plans and risk registers
• Strong communication and presentation skills required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working on State of Indiana large software projects
• PMP Certified
• Led end-to-end migration of on-premise to cloud data warehouse migrations
• Strong knowledge in leading modernizing Oracle, PL/SQL, data warehouses using BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataStream
