Location: Paris, TX
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 06:00 - 18:00
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide care and support for patients of all ages. You will play a crucial role in administering respiratory therapy treatment, managing ventilators, and ensuring quality care in a dynamic hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as per physician orders.
- Manage and monitor patients on ventilators and other respiratory support devices.
- Conduct blood gas analyses and EKGs as needed.
- Participate in patient weaning trials and demonstrate knowledge of oxygen therapy.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory issues.
- Document assessments and interventions in the electronic health record system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RRT or CRT certification in Texas.
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
