This is an opportunity for an established public accounting professional who is comfortable managing client relationships, overseeing staff, and taking ownership of a portfolio of clients .

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax experience combined with the ability to operate independently, maintain trusted client relationships, and provide leadership to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of established tax clients
• Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor to clients
• Oversee the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns
• Provide tax planning and advisory services
• Review work prepared by staff and senior-level accountants
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting and tax staff
• Research and resolve complex tax issues
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
• Manage client deadlines, workflow, and engagement responsibilities
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships

Ideal Background

• Active CPA license
• Strong public accounting experience
• Established track record managing client relationships
• Significant individual and business tax experience
• Previous experience supervising or managing staff
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of client engagements

Compensation

The compensation structure combines a base salary with billable-hour earnings , providing the opportunity to reach approximately very high level total annual compensation , depending on billable production.
