Quality Product Testing Specialist

Job Description Provide support and accountability for planning, controlling and improving quality and reliability for all products within the region with possible specialization in Liquid Cooling. This includes manufacturing and purchased products, services and software supplied to Vertiv Customers. The role will act as a customer advocate regarding products, systems, methods, processes, measures and issues. Additionally, the role is responsible for planning and implementing systems, processes, policies, procedures and end‑end quality support, which will ensure an effective quality system that complies with customer requirements, selected international and industry standards. This position is an integral part of the business structure and ensures deployment of Customer Quality, Quality Management Systems and Product Compliance Systems within the respective service organization and manufacturing plants (if applicable). Responsibilities Service Quality Gain deep understanding of data that impact service and product quality. Lead cross‑functional team(s) in the resolution of key quality issues and inquiries based on data. Initiate and drive continuous quality improvement of processes within respective areas, and support Vertiv Operating System rollout with the ability to measure progress with data. Best practice sharing across region. Manage Process Risk Analysis/RCCM. Responsible for the implementation, deployment and sustainment of the Quality System. Maintain documents of the Quality Management System: trip reports, audits and inspections. Periodically coordinate the Quality Management System reviews and report to regional leadership on the system status and operation. Perform internal audits within respective areas and report progress. Contact external certification bodies and represent for applicable ISO related audits. Product and Service Quality Deploy, train and audit quality policies, standards, and procedures for manufacturing locations, subcontracting (3rd party) and service activities. Collaborate on improvement initiatives to achieve high quality level products. Work with business leads to drive corrective actions for service and manufacturing related issues. Customer Quality Coordinate customer claims management. Coordinate customer audits and manage improvement actions. Conduct contract reviews for customer contract documentation. Supplier Quality (in cooperation with the Market Unit, Supplier Quality organization, and Supply Chain) Support the Regional and Global Supplier Quality Teams and Supply Chain organization by providing strategic quality support and expertise for supplier quality programs. Manage supplier claims processes within the market unit in cooperation with Supplier Quality team. In cooperation with supplier quality organization, implement and maintain common supplier quality documentation with key suppliers. Reporting Provide weekly reporting for relevant quality KPIs, filed/service quality and product issues. Others Develop and maintain effective communication within the business. Perform other duties and oversee special projects and assignments as may be assigned by management. Follow procedures, rules and principles of the Quality Management System. Respect principles of local and international trade compliance procedures connected with all operations and business practices. Follow all rules of health & safety and environmental protection as defined by internal procedures or communicated during training. Follow required actions to prevent all emergency situations and follow operation controls rules. Report all accidents, occupational diseases and emergency situations (where applicable). Qualifications 2–4 years degree, technical preferred; electrical or mechanical engineering or related certification/field experience acceptable. Prior engineering roles for at least 3–5 years or acceptable equivalent. Fluent in English. Strong leadership skills. Strong customer interaction skills. Construction knowledge and operational experience. Thermal, power, data center and critical environment operations knowledge. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Well‑developed interpersonal skills. Active knowledge of quality systems, tools and standards desired. Experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner preferred. Intermediate to advanced in MS Excel, Smartsheets, Teams and remote communications. Excellent problem solver; experience with 8D methodology and supporting tools. Physical & Environmental Demands Construction, industrial and manufacturing environments. Travel Requirement 70% travel – primarily domestic with possible international travel.
