Achieves successful on-site servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix administrative difficulties relating to delivery of service. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will deliver and participate in training sessions for fellow technicians. You will work with sales and local management to help deliver accurate quotes to customers. You will assist in the management of service contracts for key accounts.

  • Perform repair work on demand
  • Provide internal and external customer support
  • Adhere to administrative processes
  • Ability to work non-standard hours.
  • Ability to service clientele in the greater Chicago area.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma/ GED.
  • 3+ years of field service experience with commercial fire alarm systems.
  • 3+ years of experience reading & interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license.

WE VALUE

  • NICET certification preferred
  • IT networking and operating systems experience
  • MS Office experience
  • Experience programming fire panels and performing inspections
  • Knowledge of commercial building infrastructure
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes
  • Associate/ Bachelor's degree or technical/professional certificate

The annual base salary range for this position is $79,000 to $89,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
