Knowledge of basic office procedures, common office equipment, and computers. Proficient typing and phone skills; knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs. Strong communication skills. Associate degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Job Goal The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to students, staff, administration, and the overall school community with the ESSER initiatives and requirements throughout the school site. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide positive and quality customer service. Assist the school leadership team and site with clerical duties related to ESSER initiatives and requirements. Support the school nurse office with clerical functions related to illness tracking, parent communications, medication administration, and supervision of ill students. Maintain a log of visitors to the nurse’s office. Order office supplies and maintain accurate inventory records. Assist secretaries with office duties as necessary. Perform minor repairs on photocopiers, fax machines, and other office equipment; call service technicians as needed. Answer phones and relay messages to principals, teachers, and students. Maintain student information in student record systems. Comfort students in the nurse's absence. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Functional knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Professional suite. Significant data management knowledge. Clear oral and written communication; ability to comply with confidentiality requirements. High degree of accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Professional interaction with the public. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Typing speed and accuracy for prolonged periods. Light physical workload (up to 20 pounds occasionally). Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board and local policy on evaluation of personnel.
