Position Overview Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager Company: MMK Logistics Schedule: Full-Time | Dynamic Day Shift ( evening/handoff flexibility required based on operational needs) Pay Range: $115,000-$120,000 / Year Job Summary MMK Logistics is seeking a sharp, highly communicative, and proactive Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our multi-tenant 3PL facility in Elgin, IL. This critical leadership role sits at the intersection of facility warehouse management and logistics operations. You will be entirely responsible for orchestrating seamless product receiving, precise put-aways, rigorous inventory counts, high-speed night-shift order picking, strategic fleet routing, and cross-dock loading workflows. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in beverage distribution or 3PL warehouse management and thrives on building efficient, mistake-free pathways for multiple corporate clients. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Operational Oversight: Manage daily end-to-end warehouse functions including inventory receiving, high-density put-away protocols, inventory cycle counts, order picking accuracy, and final delivery loading workflows. 3PL Client & Multi-Tenant Care: Act as the operational point of contact for multiple brand tenants utilizing MMK Logistics. Ensure distinct inventory lines are accurately isolated, organized, tracked, and fulfilled according to client service level agreements (SLAs). Routing & Fleet Management: Collaborate with delivery drivers and night/day shift leaders to optimize transportation routes and dispatch schedules, ensuring cost-effective, on-time delivery across the region. Team Leadership & Development: Directly supervise, mentor, and build schedules for the Pick Team Leads, Warehouse Associates, Delivery Verifiers, and Drivers. Champion productivity goals (e.g., maintaining team pick rates of 150 items/hour). System Administration: Serve as the facility expert for the Encompass™ Beverage Management Operating System or similar Warehouse Management System, ensuring real-time inventory tracking, accurate printed order sheets, and seamless proof-of-delivery processing. Compliance & Safety Management: Enforce all local, state, and federal laws regarding the safe warehousing and transportation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Uphold strict safety guidelines, sanitation standards, and company Breakage Policies. Minimum Experience and Qualifications Experience: 3 to 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse management, logistics operations, or a 3PL multi-tenant environment required. Beverage distribution industry experience is highly preferred. Technical Proficiency: Proven hands‑on experience utilizing complex Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); direct familiarity with Encompass™ Beverage Management is a massive plus. Operational Mastery: In-depth knowledge of logistics frameworks, including advanced inventory control techniques, staging, pallet configuration, and delivery routing strategies. Leadership Style: Exceptional communication, conflict-resolution, and organization skills. Ability to bridge gaps smoothly between corporate expectations, warehouse floors, and customer delivery points. Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus, but equivalent veteran field experience is prioritized. Physical Requirements Comfort working in a high-volume, physically active warehouse environment. Standing, walking, and moving across concrete floors for extended periods. Flexibility to pivot between the desk environment (routing, reporting, client communication) and the warehouse floor (auditing counts, training staff).
