This role involves driving growth, managing branch operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Branch Manager II will lead the Retail staff in achieving strategic objectives through continuous coaching and fostering professional development. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the banking industry.Leadership and Team DevelopmentSupervise, train, coach, and perform annual reviews for all branch personnelLead, mentor, and develop staff to ensure each branch meets performance, service, and operational goalsFacilitate weekly and monthly huddles with your staff to discuss sales opportunities and operational issues as well as to review and address subject matter determined by the Regional TeamCoordinate training of staff on all bank products and services on an ongoing basisEnsure completion of all quarterly education coursesCustomer ServiceEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting a customer-centric cultureSalesDrive branch sales and business development efforts by proactively seeking out new bank customer relationships through targeted outbound callsIdentify and engage potential clients, set ambitious targets, and implement effective strategies to achieve substantial growthProactively engage with local businesses and leverage community events to expand the customer baseFocus on customer retention through exceptional service and relationship management to ensure long-term successFinancial ManagementOversee branch financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense managementEnsure profitability and cost-effectivenessEnsure the branch consistently meets its financial targetsCompliance and Risk ManagementEnsure branch operations comply with all banking regulations, policies, and proceduresManage risk effectively and ensure the security of branch assetsOperational EfficiencyReview and provide reports to managementTake applications for all consumer loans including home equity line of credit applicationsDetermine fee refunds and settlement of the NSF list in conjunction with the Head TellerOversee the maintenance items for your branch, including the parking lotAssist in counting tellers out when they are off more than $100 or with surprise audit countsTest the branch security equipment and investigate security issues as neededComplete the CD maturity list – calling upon all customers in questionAssist tellers and Personal Banker's in peak times to expedite the work flowProvide back-up Head Teller duties in absence of an Assistant Branch ManagerBranch vault responsibilities including ordering weekly and balancing dailyOrdering and maintaining branch suppliesCommunity EngagementRepresent the bank as a dedicated community partner by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and actively participating in local events and activitiesPresent financial literacy programs to educate clients and the broader community on effective financial management, fostering a sense of financial empowerment and community well-beingCollaborationWork closely with other departments, including treasury management, mortgage officers, commercial lenders and marketing teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve business objectivesMarket AnalysisMonitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threatsProvide insights and recommendations to senior managementFinancial AnalysisAssess the financial needs of clients and recommend suitable banking products and services, emphasizing the importance of personalized service tailored to each client's unique circumstancesDemonstrate a deep understanding of their financial goals and provide customized solutions that inspire confidence and trustAdditionally, assist in preparing financial proposals and presentations for clients as neededRequirementsMinimum QualificationsMust have a high school diplomaMust have 2 years of people leadership/management experienceAble to build and maintain relationships within the business community including participation with community organizations and community projectsPreferred Qualifications3-5 years of experience in bankingProven ability to implement sales and business development strategiesSkillsGood sales and computer skills, and a proven ability to develop business opportunities are necessaryShould be analytically minded and possess good judgmentAbility to manage branch-banking personnel engaged in retail operations to achieve profit, growth and customer service objectives within bank policy guidelinesMust demonstrate management, communication, and interpersonal skillsHighly skilled in Microsoft Office SuiteWork EnvironmentPrimarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours.
