Occupational Therapist

Rehab Occupational Therapy treats patients with cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, medical, trauma, surgical, and oncology populations. This position requires Monday through Friday work from 07:00 to 15:30, with some flexibility in the start time up to 08:00. The clinician is required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during the applicable week. The role involves establishing treatment plans and providing treatment that considers discharge needs and expected functional status. Collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare providers is crucial, along with making referral recommendations as needed. Delegation to assistants and techs must be communicated effectively in both written and verbal forms. Documentation must be completed in accordance with departmental policies. Experience in a level one trauma hospital is preferred. The role will involve utilizing special equipment such as SPH equipment, vital carts, IPAD interpreters, and ADL supplies. The ability to float within the service line is required. Daily interactions will involve multiple patient diagnoses, primarily focusing on adult and geriatric populations.
