Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU - $2,304 per week

Position TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist) for a travel job in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Start Date 06/01/2026. Duration 26 weeks. 36 hours per week, 12 hour night shift. Employment Type: Travel. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients. Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support. Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience. Certification: NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS required. PALS and NRP required in some areas; additional certifications may be required before assignment. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift up to 50 pounds; and have specific vision abilities (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
