If you've got strong communication skills and a knack for multitasking, this could be your perfect fit.What You'll DoGreet and prepare patients, take medical histories, and escort them to exam roomsObtain vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation) and update recordsCollect specimens (blood, urine, swabs) and properly label themAssist Nurse Practitioner during exams and procedures—e.g., vaccines, blood draws, EKGsClean and stock exam rooms, maintain inventory and equipmentEducate patients and families on medications, preventive care, and self-managementPerform administrative tasks: scheduling, billing support, phone triage, and maintaining paperworkEnsure patient confidentiality and HIPAA complianceWhat You BringHigh school diploma or GED requiredMedical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA) from an accredited programAt least 1 year clinical experience preferred—primary care or rural clinic experience is a plusProficient in vital signs, injections, phlebotomy and basic proceduresStrong communication, empathy, and customer-service skillsComfortable with EHR systems
