Accountability, Compassion, Collaboration, Dedication, Integrity and Versatility; it's the FNL way.PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThe Enterprise IT (EIT) Directorate oversees the strategic vision and implementation plan for IT systems and solutions for the enterprise at Leidos Biomedical Research, providing operational information and data systems support to Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. The Enterprise Solutions group (BES) is part of the Enterprise IT directorate, overseeing the strategic vision and implementation plan of IT systems and solutions that the support Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNL) operational and scientific organizations. The BES scope includes development, integration and optimization of the enterprise business systems used by the FNL operator, Leidos Biomedical Research, as well as logical and automation solutions for the scientific community.KEY ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, build, and maintain reports in IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Authoring, Dashboard Authoring).Develop interactive dashboards and visual analytics, potentially cross-referencing with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense for specific business units.Modify and troubleshoot existing reports based on user feedback or changing business requirements Test and validate report outputs against source data for accuracy.Perform Data Modeling and build and maintain Framework Manager models and data modules that serve as the semantic layer for reporting.Update models as underlying source systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint) change.Ensure the semantic layer accurately reflects business logic for Finance, HR, or Project Accounting data.Perform SQL & database tasks.Write and optimize complex SQL queries against Oracle or SQL Server.Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and functions.Diagnose and resolve query performance issues.Review execution plans and tune indexing/queries.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSTo be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:Possession of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
