Before and After School Group Leader

Location(s): Melwood Elementary School Upper Marlboro MD Pay: 17.50 Hours: AM 7AM-8AM PM 1:30pm-6pm 90 Hour Certification school age or early childhood- You can also have at least one of the certificates either 45 hours growth development or the 45 hours school age curriculum and we can enroll you in the necessary classes to complete the other training AlphaBEST provides Certification Training for Group Leader and Site Director Positions Looking for experience that matters? As an AlphaBEST Group Leader , you’ll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. We’re Looking For Someone Who Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed In This Role, You Will Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) Make child safety the top priority at all times Keep the space clean and organized Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required CPR and First Aid certification required Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
