Material Coordinator

About Us AMETEK Programmable Power Business Unit (~$160M) provides advanced Power and Instrumentation solutions. Job Summary The Material Coordinator supports the assigned manufacturing department with materials. Responsibilities include inventory verification, cycle counting, reordering, data input, kit pulling, and safety checks. Key Responsibilities Maintain work cell stock locations. Trigger order signal for components on electronic replenishment. Conduct cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies. Process backorder items and expedite materials. Load, move, and unload material to various inventory locations. Complete and process all associated documentation. Collaborate with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials. Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient movement of all materials and evaluate materials sent to production. Coordinate with production lead and department managers to ensure accountability for all materials. Check incoming materials for defects or flaws that may need to be addressed prior to use in manufacturing. Inform production lead and manager when inventory is low or when materials are no longer usable due to defects or damage. Monitor material inventories to ensure that the correct number of materials are on hand at all times. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. 3 years of related work experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated initiative and drive for results. Good interpersonal skills; ability to interact well with direct and cross‑functional team members. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Very detail oriented with strong math and organizational skills. Experience using an ERP system (Oracle a plus). Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Work Environment This role operates in a warehouse environment. Physical Demands The employee is required to talk or hear, stand for long periods, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
