(Sunset Park)Schedule: Monday through Saturday (flexible) / 6:00 AM until completionPay: $25.00 + OT ($37.50/hr)Afternoon shifts availableBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K when going full timeSeeking highly motivated truck drivers with CDL Class B license or higher to assist in picking up and delivering food across the five boroughs to and from our warehouse facility in Brooklyn.Core ResponsibilitiesDeliver product in a safe and timely manner complying with safe food-handling practicesMust have knowledge of 5 boroughs streetsOperate trucks safely and in compliance with motor vehicle lawsComplete all assignments on the route, accept overtime assignments and special assignments when required; comply with attendance policy.Communicate information about the route to the Manager – Food Transport and Food Transport management (especially events that could impact pick-up or delivery of food or completion of route schedule), comply with instructions, and ensure that all communications with dispatch are constructive and professionalCollect signatures on invoices, complete trip reports, logbooks, and other required paperwork. Ensure that all paperwork is neat, legible, accurate, and timelyComplete Pre / Post Trip inspection in compliance with company policyMaintain required licenses needed to perform your job in a legal mannerGains an understanding of all basic functions of TransportationMust able to operate a Pump Jack or Electric Pallet JackEducation and ExperienceA valid CDL Class B driver's license with, a good driving record and an updated DOT card is requiredMinimum of one (1) or more years of commercial driving experienceNo serious moving violations within the last 36 monthsNo preventable DOT accidents within the last 12 monthsMUST BE REGISTERED WITH CLEARING HOUSERequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong customer service and good communication skillsWorking knowledge of roadways within and between the five boroughs
