Job Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. The role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care within an acute care setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, maintaining high standards of clinical practice and patient safety in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
