Compensation: $47.67 - $56.74 per hour

Role OverviewAs a Cat Scan Technician, you will play an essential role in patient diagnostics and care. Working under the guidance of a certified radiologist, you will operate with a significant degree of autonomy. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients, administering contrast agents, ensuring radiation safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' physical conditions, ages, and suspected medical issues to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
- Assist the Radiologist with specific radiographic procedures.
- Accurately label images with the time and patient positioning.
- Ensure patient comfort and well-being, both physically and mentally, throughout the examination process.
- Prepare the examination room with all necessary supplies before procedures begin.
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients, keeping them informed of progress and assisting with transfers on and off the examination table.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Prepare and clean the examination room before and after patient visits.
- Utilize the Radiology Information System to manage patient cases effectively.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development principles to assess and meet the age-specific needs of each patient.
- You communicate with clarity and compassion, fostering positive interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Your work is guided by meticulous attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- You maintain composure and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Your primary focus is on patient safety and delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging.
- You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams.

- You prioritize creating a positive and reassuring experience for patients.
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- CT Certification is required.
- New Jersey License is mandatory.
- Previous experience in CT is essential.
- Must maintain a current BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider certification through the American Heart Association.
