Compensation: $47.67 - $56.74 per hour

Role Overview

As a Cat Scan Technician, you will play an essential role in patient diagnostics and care. Working under the guidance of a certified radiologist, you will operate with a significant degree of autonomy. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients, administering contrast agents, ensuring radiation safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions, ages, and suspected medical issues to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
• Assist the Radiologist with specific radiographic procedures.
• Accurately label images with the time and patient positioning.
• Ensure patient comfort and well-being, both physically and mentally, throughout the examination process.
• Prepare the examination room with all necessary supplies before procedures begin.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients, keeping them informed of progress and assisting with transfers on and off the examination table.
• Monitor equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Prepare and clean the examination room before and after patient visits.
• Utilize the Radiology Information System to manage patient cases effectively.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development principles to assess and meet the age-specific needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
• CT Certification is required.
• New Jersey License is mandatory.
• Previous experience in CT is essential.
• Must maintain a current BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider certification through the American Heart Association.
