Psychiatry Faculty, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry Location: Portland, ME Facility: Medical Group Practices Schedule: Full Time Job Category: Management/Leadership Req #: 19847 Date Posted: Mar 18, 2025 The Department of Psychiatry at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland (MHMMCP) is seeking a fellowship-trained and board-certified Geriatric Psychiatrist or Neuropsychiatrist to lead the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry. Successful candidates will be gifted clinician-educators committed to improving the lives of seniors, and excited to work with a team of like-minded colleagues. The Geriatric Psychiatry Division offers evaluation and treatment of older adults with a wide range of psychiatric illness. We work closely with geriatric medicine and neurology in caring for patients with complex illness. Our clinical staff includes geriatric psychiatrists, geriatric psychiatry nurse practitioners, psychologists and clinical social workers. In addition to clinical care, we provide a major teaching resource for MHMMC. We train and mentor Geriatric Medicine and Addiction Medicine fellows, Psychiatry residents, Tufts University School of Medicine medical students, Social Work and Psychology interns, and trainees in other fields. Physicians are expected to apply for faculty appointment to the Tufts University School of Medicine.
