Inside Sales Representative Boxed Beef

The Inside Sales Representative (Boxed Beef) manages and expands sales accounts for fresh boxed beef products. This role focuses on maintaining existing commercial and retail client relationships while proactively prospecting to drive new business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Management: Maintain and build upon established client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for daily orders, inquiries, and customer support.

• Business Development: Actively identify, prospect, and secure new accounts across retail, food service, processor, and broker/distributor channels.

• Sales Strategy & Execution: Monitor market pricing, meat industry trends, and inventory levels to maximize margin opportunities and sales volume.

• Order Processing & Logistics: Coordinate closely with plant operations, shipping, and supply chain management to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment of boxed beef shipments.

• Market Analysis: Stay current on commodity markets (USDA reports, cattle/beef pricing, supply shifts) to effectively advise clients on purchasing strategies.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Experience Level: Mid-level sales professional with demonstrated experience in protein sales (boxed beef / fresh beef preferred).

• Industry Background: Strong preference/ideal fit includes prior experience working with meat brokers or distributors.

• Key Skills:

  • Excellent phone presence and inside sales capabilities.

  • Deep understanding of meat industry specifications, boxed beef cuts, and pricing structures.

  • Proven track record of pipeline growth and client retention.
