Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients considering specific needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Adhere to documentation policies, including initial evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Participate in patient care and family conferences.
• Supervise and coordinate PT and PTA student programs and volunteer programs.
• Maintain department productivity standards and community network.
• Adapt patient care methods to meet unique needs.
• Foster professional relationships with medical staff and referral sources.

Requirements of the Physical Therapist

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited institution.
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• Experience not required.
