Inside Sales Representative

Brilliant Electrical Supply is seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative to support electrical contractors, facility managers, industrial maintenance teams, and industry partners with fast, accurate, and reliable electrical equipment solutions — while also managing and growing our eBay storefront. This role combines relationship-based inside sales with hands-on eBay operations. COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Base Pay: $22-26 per hour / annually $45,760 to $54,080 Potential Earnings : $100,000+ (Commission and Bonuses) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday |8AM – 5PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES & QUOTING — CONTRACTORS, FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE TEAMS Provide timely, accurate quotes for circuit breakers, panelboards, switchboards, MCC buckets, transformers, safety switches, busway/bus plugs, and related electrical gear Assist customers in identifying correct replacement products using photos, nameplates, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation Interpret panel schedules and one-line diagrams to confirm compatibility, voltage, amperage, and application Offer compatible alternatives when equipment is discontinued, unavailable, or on extended factory lead times Follow up on open quotes to close orders and maintain strong customer relationships

CUSTOMER SERVICE & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Communicate clearly and professionally with: Electrical Contractors — rapid, practical, solutions-focused tone Facility Managers — professional, detailed, clarity-focused tone Maintenance Managers & Technicians — straightforward, technical, reliability-focused tone Provide responsive support for product questions, order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution across all sales channels Manage online store customer messages professionally, including pre-sale inquiries, post-sale follow-up, and issue resolution Maintain positive, professional interactions with other dealers, distributors, and industry partners Represent Brilliant Electrical Supply with professionalism, integrity, and consistency in all interactions

ORDER PROCESSING & COORDINATION

Enter all orders accurately in QuickBooks across inside sales, and eBay. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure correct picking, packing, and on-time fulfillment Communicate clearly with customers regarding availability, substitutions, partial shipments, and fulfillment timelines

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL GUIDANCE

Build strong working knowledge of major electrical manufacturers including Square D, Siemens, GE, Eaton/Cutler-Hammer, ABB, Allen-Bradley, and others Learn to identify equipment based on catalog numbers, breaker frames, voltage, amperage, application, and manufacturer specifications Interpret and understand one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and basic electrical layouts to support accurate quoting and product selection Apply product knowledge to eBay listing accuracy reviews, customer inquiries, and order support Explain product differences, compatibility considerations, and safe alternatives to help customers make informed decisions

CRM & SALES TOOLS

Use Pipedrive to manage quotes, customer communications, deal stages, and follow-ups Maintain accurate customer notes, deal activity, and order history Track open quotes, won/lost opportunities, and customer activity to support visibility and reporting Utilize eBay Seller Hub and related tools to monitor storefront performance, messaging, and order status

CROSS-TRAINING — SHIPPING, RECEIVING & INVENTORY

Cross-train in Shipping & Receiving to build operational understanding and provide coverage support as needed Cross-train in Inventory processes to support accuracy, product identification, and warehouse coordination Apply cross-training knowledge to improve e-commerce order fulfillment accuracy and shipping efficiency

EBAY STOREFRONT MANAGEMENT

Manage the customer-facing and transactional aspects of the eBay storefront Communicate with eBay customers in a timely, professional, and helpful manner Respond to customer questions regarding products, availability, pricing, shipping, and orders Create and send invoices to customers as needed Review and accept or decline customer offers based on company pricing guidelines Provide shipping and freight quotes for eBay, selecting the most accurate and cost-effective shipping method Commission Structure: eBay Sales Bonuses: Competitive performance-based bonuses based on sales activity and goal attainment Inside Sales Performance Bonus: Competitive performance-based bonuses based on sales activity and goal attainment

QUALIFICATIONS

2–3 years of inside sales, customer service, or e-commerce experience (electrical supply, industrial supply, HVAC supply, construction materials, or similar preferred) Experience managing an eBay storefront or other e-commerce platform preferred; strong willingness to learn preferred Understanding of contractor, facility, and maintenance customer needs Ability to interpret equipment specifications, panel schedules, or one-line diagrams — or strong willingness to learn quickly Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt tone based on customer type and channel Comfortable working with customers who may also be vendors or industry partners Proficient with CRM systems (Pipedrive preferred), QuickBooks, eBay Seller Hub, email, and SMS communication Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate — especially in listing review and order processing Team-oriented with strong accountability, follow-through, and problem-solving skills Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where urgent and time-sensitive requests are common Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed during cross-training in Shipping, Receiving & Inventory
