Family Medicine Physician

Our client is a privately owned primary care practice in Chesapeake, Virginia that provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages. The clinic offers services including pediatric, adult, geriatric, and women's health care, along with vaccinations, physical exams, and treatment for minor illnesses and chronic conditions. It also operates as a walk-in/urgent care style family practice with on-site lab work and ultrasound services for added convenience.

Salary:
Base Salary of $270,000 - $300,000 annually (commensurate with experience) + 15% bonus on collections above $600,000-$650,000 (average $35,000-$50,000 in bonus annually)

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join its privately owned, outpatient-only practice in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive primary care across all ages in a collaborative, well-supported clinical environment with strong staffing, advanced diagnostics, and reduced administrative burden.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients of all ages
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 25-30 patients per day (15-20 during onboarding)
• Deliver preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care services
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, LPNs, MAs, scribes, and support staff
• Utilize AI Scribing Tools and Dragon dictation for documentation efficiency
• Interpret in-house diagnostics including labs, imaging, ECGs, spirometry, Holter monitoring, and sleep studies
• Participate in low-intensity call rotation (1 weekend/month, 1 weekday/week)
• Coordinate care using in-house lab, imaging, and testing services
• Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Active or eligible Virginia medical license
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to team-based, patient-centered outpatient care
