Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week acute-care hospital assignment, requiring 2+ years of critical care and emergency care experience.

Details

• Acute-care hospital setting within a Respiratory Therapy department
• Rotates through all inpatient units including two 10-bed ICUs
• Patient population includes critical care and emergency care cases
• Performs aerosol treatments, Bipap management, and ventilator management
• Uses various ventilators and Bipap equipment, including Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Philips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers
• Documentation via Meditech
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care and emergency care respiratory therapy
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
• License required if applicable
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Professional references required (quantity varies by state)

Additional Information

• Join a Respiratory Therapy team of 30 colleagues with varying levels of experience
• Work at the top of license performing tasks such as intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary nursing unit rounding
• Scrubs required as part of dress code
• Utilizes AIDET framework for patient experience
• 50-mile radius rule applies;
  local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
