Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A well-established retail pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem pharmacist to provide vacation coverage from September 14th to 18th and on November 25th. This role involves working with a busy pharmacy open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with pharmacist hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The pharmacy remains open throughout the day without closing for lunch, requiring consistent attention during operating hours.
Responsibilities include managing over 200 prescriptions daily, utilizing PioneerRx software for accurate data entry and prescription verification. You will also handle product verification, sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries, and communicate effectively by answering incoming phone calls. While immunizations are not part of the role, strong attention to detail and compliance with pharmacy regulations are essential. You will collaborate closely with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Ohio pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with pharmacy software, preferably PioneerRx
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high prescription volume
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
