Paramedic, Emergency Department

Full Time, 36 Hours/Week, 11a-11:30p Summary Provides assistance to the Emergency Department physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists in pre‑hospital and Emergency Department Triage, stabilization, and transport of patients. Education and Certification Successful completion of a course approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS in Paramedic education and current certification by the State of Ohio. Experience and Training One (1) year of field experience (recent, within past five years), as an EMT in a part‑time or full‑time capacity. Other Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications Current certification in BLS-HCP and ACLS May require current certification in PALS – varies by location Other certifications and competencies as required by department Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity Physical Demands Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects Ability to move and lift patients Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled Compensation $23.75/hr - $28.49/hr The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
