Customer Relations Associate

Monthly Pay: $3,533 - $4,962 USD per month Summary: A customer question arrives, is reviewed, answered, recorded, and closed with clear notes that help preserve a consistent customer experience. This entry level contract Customer Relations Associate manages customer relations requests and makes sure customers receive accurate product or service information and a clear next step. The associate sits on the customer service team and works under a customer service team lead. The role partners with customers, support teammates, and internal product or service contacts to resolve routine questions and route matters needing added review. This is a fully remote, work from home position based in Maryland, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary. Job Responsibilities: Receive customer questions through a support platform such as Zendesk, a contact-center phone system such as RingCentral, a live chat such as LiveChat, email inboxes, and assigned service tickets. Review each request for the customer’s question, relevant details, prior interactions, and the product or service information needed to provide a useful response. Provide clear, courteous answers using approved knowledge resources and current product or service information while confirming the customer understands the next step. Create and update customer interaction notes in a CRM such as Salesforce, including the request, actions taken, information shared, and planned follow-up. Ask focused follow-up questions when information is missing, unclear, or needed to address the customer’s concern accurately. Monitor open service tickets, respond to customer replies, and keep request status current until an appropriate resolution or handoff is completed. Escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved customer matters to a customer service team lead or the appropriate internal contact with complete notes. Coordinate with support teammates and product or service contacts to obtain accurate information for customer responses and follow-up actions. Identify recurring customer questions or unclear information and share observations with the customer service team lead for review. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. No experience required; related customer-facing or administrative experience preferred. Familiarity with customer relations workflows, including receiving questions, researching available information, documenting interactions, and closing routine requests. Preferred familiarity with a CRM such as Salesforce and a support platform such as Zendesk for tracking customer interactions and service tickets. Preferred comfort using a contact-center phone system such as RingCentral and a live chat such as LiveChat to communicate with customers. Ability to read product or service information carefully and explain it in clear, courteous language. Ability to maintain organized interaction notes, follow established response guidance, and recognize when a matter needs escalation. Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace, with availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times. Authorization to work in the United States. Fully remote work from a dedicated home workspace in Maryland, United States.
