This position will be responsible for the preparation of investigational and commercial sterile products for the Muenzer MPS Center and on-site pediatric infusion clinics as needed. Shift hours are 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday, with a staffing requirement in the Pediatric Satellite every fourth weekend from 7am to 3:30pm.

This position qualifies for our Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Payment is made after six months, one year, and two years of employment.

Responsibilities include: performing expert training of new employees, operating independently on process improvement projects, assisting the pharmacist in reprioritizing daily workflow, compounding and preparing medications, delivering and exchanging medications, documenting pharmaceutical activities, responding to and triaging requests from customers, operating and supporting automated dispensing technology, ordering, receiving, restocking, and rotating inventory, and assuring regulatory compliance for medication storage areas.

Education Requirements: None required as long as other position qualifications are met. Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program. CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program. Professional Experience Requirements: Two years of pharmacy technician experience required. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
