Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations, establish therapy diagnoses, formulate individualized plans of care, and implement Physical Therapy treatments across a wide range of ages and diagnoses
• Monitor and modify plans of care based on patient response; collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals during care conferences and rounds
• Document all patient encounters, including diagnoses, treatment plans, recommendations, and prognoses, in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, self-care techniques, and adaptive equipment use to support rehabilitation and independence
• Assist with clinic operations, supply management, durable medical equipment acquisition and fitting, and billing compliance (Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers)
• Participate in staff education, in-service training, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary committee work as assigned; occasional travel to off-site and remote locations may be required

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Alaska required at time of submission
• Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or a baccalaureate degree from an APTA-approved program with at least 2 years of relevant work and continuing education experience demonstrating master's-level competency
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid driver's license

• Note: A fingerprint card submission is required upon acceptance; start dates are expected no sooner than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing — prompt submission is strongly encouraged to avoid delays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with outpatient Physical Therapy, including musculoskeletal assessment, gait analysis, biomechanics, and functional rehabilitation
• Familiarity with adaptive and durable medical equipment fitting and training, including splints, braces, orthoses, and ADL assistive devices
• Experience with healthcare billing procedures including Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in small-clinic or rural/remote healthcare environments with diverse patient populations
