Job Description & Requirements American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Critical Access Hospital. Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience is required, and both KS/MO or compact licensure in hand. Assignment Overview Shift: nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/week Start Date: Jun 22, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Details Critical Access Hospital with 25 total staffed beds and a 7-bed ER Combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts, with approximately 20 visits per day Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15) Every other weekend required Floating may be required to a neighboring facility as needed Charts using Epic EMR 13‑week contract Requirements Active RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licenses (or a compact license covering both states) must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent ED specialty experience required, including at least 1 full year of in‑specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Trauma Level IV experience required Epic EMR experience required Required clinical skills: general ED nursing (adult/pedi), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilated patient management, isolation precautions, and triage 2 professional references required — at least one must be supervisor level or above; the second may be a charge RN; all references must be from someone who has worked with the candidate within the past year SSN required for consideration Additional Information First‑time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of the facility are considered local and are not eligible for this position RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract Block scheduling is not available No on‑call responsibilities Travel partners are not accepted for this position Navy scrubs required Parking is free Completion of orientation modules (approximately 10–15 hours total) is required prior to the start of the assignment No interview is guaranteed, though requests to speak with the manager may be accommodated Pay Package Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
