We're partnering with the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to find a detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee a high-value Health Information Technology (HIT) Fund contract supporting rural healthcare providers across Rhode Island. This role will monitor contract performance, fiscal compliance, invoices, milestones, deliverables, provider applications, and outcomes for a program distributing more than $10 million annually.

The ideal candidate brings experience in healthcare administration, contract or program management, fiscal oversight, and stakeholder coordination, along with a working understanding of health information technology and the needs of rural healthcare providers.

Pay & Job Highlights:

Pay Rate: $57 per hour.
Location: Cranston, RI

Responsibilities of the Contract Manager:

• Monitor the HIT Fund administrator contract, ensuring compliance with contract terms, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and scope of work requirements.
• Review invoices, expenses, and supporting documentation for fiscal accuracy and compliance with CMS grant requirements.
• Review provider funding applications for eligibility, alignment with program priorities, and potential duplication with other Rhode Island RHTP initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal RHTP teams, healthcare providers, vendors, and other stakeholders while facilitating communications regarding HIT Fund opportunities and requirements.
• Monitor outcomes, implementation milestones, and reporting from the HIT Fund administrator and awardees while supporting program coordination and continuous improvement.

Qualifications of the Contract Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health policy, public policy, finance, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional experience in healthcare administration, contract management, fiscal management, grants administration, public health, or program administration, preferably involving large-dollar contracts or funding.
• Strong ability to review invoices, monitor expenditures, manage extensive documentation, track deliverables, and ensure compliance with contractual and grant requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and across multiple teams and projects.
• Working knowledge of health information technology concepts and an understanding of the challenges and needs of rural healthcare providers preferred.
