Clinical Medical Assistant

Position: Medical Assistant

Job Description:

• Schedule, confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
• Greet visitors, assess purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff
• Compile record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
• Some experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Check patients in and out
• Collect co-pays
• A problem-solving mentality for prioritizing tasks and addressing patient issues that may arise
• Excellent customer service skills (receptionist experience highly preferred)

Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience; Front/Back office experience
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate only required if State required
• Active BLS/CPR Card
• Strong phlebotomy skills
• Must be ok working in a smoke-free/tobacco-free environment
