Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) - Gynecologic Malignancies - IN, KY, WV, VA

Merck seeks a credentialed medical scientific director to serve as a gynecologic oncology expert for a four-state region. The role involves bidirectional scientific exchange with clinical leaders, support for sponsored and investigator-initiated research, and representation at medical congresses.
Responsibilities
- Develop professional relationships and conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with regional clinical leaders
- Address scientific inquiries and direct complex questions to appropriate company resources
- Evaluate investigator-sponsored research for alignment with company strategy and scientific merit
- Recommend study sites and investigators for clinical development programs; conduct site initiation visits
- Engage at scientific congresses and medical meetings to facilitate scientific data exchange
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD degree
- Minimum 3 years relevant therapeutic area experience beyond terminal degree
- Ability to conduct doctoral-level scientific discussions with external stakeholders
- Thorough knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical industry regulations
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms
- GYN oncology field-based medical experience strongly preferred
