Respiratory Care Assistant IIThe RCA II will work only under direct supervision of a NC licensed RCP. Under the Clinical Supervision of the Medical Director of Respiratory Care and the overall supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Care and Respiratory Care Supervisor the Respiratory Care Assistant II (RCA II) provides safe, expedient, cost-effective Respiratory Care services. As a member of a team of health care professionals, an RCA II evaluates, treats and manages patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders in a wide variety of clinical settings. Respiratory Care Assistant II behave in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of all healthcare professionals. In addition to performing respiratory care procedures, RCA's are required to document in the patient medical record factual, accurate, complete, timely, legible and legal information about the care they provide to each patient.Minimum RequirementsOver 1 year active student in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care programAmerican Heart Association BLS CertificationActive licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board upon hireAmerican Heart Association Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS), if not current at time of hire, must complete within first 12 months of employment and maintained.Pay RangePay Range begins at $28.58Other InformationPRN Shifts will be scheduled as student's schedule allows/as needed by departmentRotating Weekend Shifts as neededNo On Call RequiredPost-Graduation RRT Opportunities Available within health systemCommitment Bonus available post-graduationBenefits available for Part-Time and Full-Time positionsAbout ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical CenterECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center.
