Care Planning & Assessments: Complete resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, monitor changes in condition, and coordinate follow-up interventions as needed. Medication Management: Oversee medication systems, ensure Medication Aides are properly trained, verify Medication Administration Records (MARs), and maintain safe medication storage and disposal procedures. Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, train, coach, and supervise care staff to ensure excellent performance, accountability, and compassionate resident support. Family & Physician Communication: Serve as a liaison between residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers regarding resident care needs and changes in condition. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, OSHA standards, infection control procedures, and resident rights regulations. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audit resident records, review incident reports, and support continuous improvement efforts. Scheduling & Staffing Support: Assist with staffing schedules, hiring qualified team members, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Supplies & Inventory: Coordinate ordering and inventory of nursing, infection control, and resident care supplies. Emergency Preparedness: Support emergency procedures, disaster preparedness, resident safety protocols, and response planning. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred Leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, long‑term care, or healthcare preferred Experience caring for seniors and individuals with cognitive decline preferred Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly Knowledge of medication administration systems and clinical best practices Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and health screening requirements Physical Requirements Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the workday Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations If you’re a skilled and caring nurse who thrives in a leadership role and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, apply today to join ALG Senior as a Registered Nurse (RN)!
