Execution Planning Engineer
Danos, LLC
Overview The Execution Planning Engineer supports early project development for green & brownfield upstream unconventional facilities and infrastructure by validating brownfield facility conditions, evaluating facility reuse options, and developing practical execution plans prior to execution. This role partners closely with the Project Development Engineer, Operations, Construction, Project Execution, and technical stakeholders to identify tie-ins, constructability risks, permitting needs, personnel & process safety considerations, and execution constraints before projects transition to a Project Engineer for execution. Responsibilities Brownfield Verification and Facility Reuse Support the Project Development Engineer by verifying existing brownfield facility conditions, constraints, capacities, and opportunities for reuse. Engage Operations to identify facility considerations, operability concerns, maintainability needs, and limitations if existing facilities are used for new production. Document brownfield verification findings, including impacted systems, tie-in feasibility, facility boundaries, shutdown requirements, and constraints. Execution Planning and Constructability Develop initial execution plans for well pads, tank batteries, facilities, flowlines, tie-ins, and related infrastructure Develop detailed pipeline routes and engage Construction to identify constructability concerns, routing risks, access needs, and execution constraints. Identify execution risks, demolition needs, shutdown requirements, sequencing considerations, and field conditions that may impact scope, schedule, cost, or safety. Technical Basis and Field Documentation Develop redline P&IDs, plot plans, preliminary routing layouts, tie‑in point identification, and field‑based planning documentation for brownfield scope. Support standard design verification by confirming project concepts align with existing facility conditions, applicable standards, and execution assumptions. Safety, Permitting, and Execution Readiness Perform early process safety risk screenings to identify potential hazards, design considerations, operating impacts, and risk management needs. Support Gate Review inputs, Design and Execution Plan development, change documentation, and execution readiness deliverables. Continuous Improvement and Team Effectiveness Contribute to a collaborative team culture built on clarity, ownership, constructive challenge, and trusted partnership. Contribute to process improvements that reduce rework, improve handoffs, and strengthen execution readiness. Key Relationships / Interfaces The Execution Planning Engineer works across a broad set of stakeholders, including: Project Development Engineer: Brownfield verification, facility reuse options, routing, tie‑ins, execution assumptions, and design basis support Global Operations: Facility conditions, operability, maintainability, shutdown needs, equipment limitations, and reuse considerations Construction: Constructability, routing, access, tie‑ins, demolition, sequencing, and execution feasibility Project Engineer (Execution): Handoff readiness, execution planning, constructability concerns, schedule assumptions, and transition after Gate 3 Central Engineering: Technical basis support, drawing verification, standard design alignment, risk screening, and engineering guidance Surface Land / Regulatory: Permitting, right‑of‑way, access, land constraints, and regulatory readiness Project Controls: Cost, schedule, planning assumptions, and execution readiness forecasting Procurement / Supply Chain: Equipment demand, long‑lead equipment, inventory availability, and material readiness What Success Looks Like A successful Execution Planning Engineer will: Identify brownfield facility constraints, reuse opportunities, and execution risks early enough to influence scope decisions. Deliver reliable field verification packages, redline P&IDs, plot plans, routing layouts, tie‑in identification, and execution planning inputs. Engage Operations and Construction early to improve operability, constructability, safety, and execution readiness. Enable a smooth handoff to Project Execution by clarifying risks, assumptions, constraints, and readiness requirements. Qualifications BS degree in Engineering or related technical studies is required Prior experience in Project Execution and Planning activities Experience with upstream unconventional facilities, brownfield verification, P&IDs, plot plans, routing, tie‑ins, or field execution planning preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Must meet conditional job offer requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr Danos, LLC
