The Position:

The Finance and Budget Analyst will be responsible for the review and coordination of all financial data for the corporate distribution team and distribution centers. This will include confidentiality in working with payroll and budget documents along with researching, gathering, formatting/manipulating, and reporting financial data for the Distribution Operations and Distribution Center management teams. What you will do in this position:

• Ensuring budget timelines are met, researching and querying of P&L and other financial information, and working with the management team to finalize numbers
• Create and analyze reports for expense control for future use and benefit; Including Weekly Labor Summary (WLS), the Distribution Labor Forecast (DLF), Budget to Actual, Operational Expense Analysis, payroll reports, and the undocumented card report
• Review and analyze all coded and approved invoices, purchase card statements, and corporate Visa statements for errors and potential expense control opportunities; Assure all items are properly approved, and then coordinate payment with Accounting
• Oversee maintenance of all major material handling financial files and tracking/processing of payments to vendor(s) for contractual payments, travel invoices, freight and warranty invoices
• Act as liaison between the corporate Finance Department and the Distribution Centers to assist with problems and inquiries
• Review all Distribution Center expenses to ensure cost-effective measures are being followed and to assure proper coding/classification of all expenses
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date information on all account coding and work with the Distribution Centers as needed to ensure they are always up to date on coding and other applicable financial information
• Review internal expense statements monthly for accuracy and ensure reconciled statements are forwarded from Distribution Centers to Finance promptly

Qualifications we would like to see:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field of study
• Experience in an accounting or financial related position
• Proficient in AS400 operation and data management, Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in building and running queries
• Solid analytical and decision making skills
• Good people skills and the ability to communicate effectively
