Job Description:


- Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
- Guaranteed Hours: 48
- Contract Weeks: 91

Unit Details:
- Location: Overland Park Regional
- Number of Beds: 18
- Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
- Staffing Description:
- 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- 1 Unit Secretary
- Type of Equipment:
- Alaris pumps
- Kangaroo pump
- Pyxis
- Computers available in every room

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements:
- Self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule

Floating Policy:
- Priority for Travelers
- PRN Staff
- Last floated individuals

Patient Experience Requirements:
- Commitment to courtesy, respect, and teamwork in patient care

Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH

Desired Skills:
- Must possess ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
- Experience in caring for patients with cardiac and pulmonary needs in a telemetry environment
- Able to manage moderate physiologic instability and provide vital monitoring every 2-4 hours

Nursing Interventions:
- Vital Signs: Every 4 hours
- Continuous Cardiac Monitoring
- Blood Glucose Monitoring: Every 4 hours
- Neurological Monitoring: As needed

Dress Code: Required uniform is Royal Blue
