Boiler Plant Operator Supervisor

Major duties include, but not limited to:

• Directly supervise Boiler Plant Operators, Air Conditioning Equipment Operators at various grade levels.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on technical and administrative tasks involving boiler, heating, ventilation air conditioning and operations repair for all employees in the Operations Section.
• Responsible for maintenance, repair, modification, renovation and new construction of various building or plant components.
• Provide general instructions, standard operating procedures, sets overall priorities and policies to accomplish quantity and quality of work.
• Review work for efficient and economical accomplishment with priorities.
• Maintain adequate stock of materials needed for a 24 hour operations worksite.
• Develop, implement and monitor routine and non-routine maintenance programs.
• Advise leadership of issues that affect the Operations section or the hospital.
• Ensure compliance with designated policies, procedures and standards related to operations, environmental and personal health and safety.
• Contact vendors and construct scope of work documents to ensure all projects are completed properly.
• Review and monitor contractors performance to ensure work is done and confirm completed to contract drawings and specifications.
• Occasionally acts on behalf of higher management, in their absence.
